What is Histamine Intolerance?
In the past year I have been diving deep into a particular health concern that seems to be plaguing more and more people with a range of confusing and difficult to pinpoint symptoms.
What is this health concern?
If you haven't heard of it, I'm not surprised! It's not very well known about, but in my estimation, and that of many of my colleagues, it is rapidly becoming something that deserves more attention.
Histamine intolerance is not a food allergy. It's simply the inability to break down histamine in the gut. Because it's not a food allergy, oftentimes testing for food allergies will not provide any helpful information, even though one is reacting to foods...just not the ones on the food allergy tests and not in a way that can be picked up by food allergy testing!
I happen to be one of the ever increasing number of people who has histamine intolerance, and as I've come to understand more about it I have personally found great benefit in my own health and wellness by choosing lower histamine foods and making other changes to my wellness routine.
According to Dr Jockers, Common Symptoms of Histamine Intolerance include:
- Difficulty falling asleep, easily arousal
- Vertigo or Dizziness
- Arrhythmia, or accelerated heart rate
- Difficulty regulating body temperature
- Nausea, Vomiting
- Abdominal cramps
- Nasal Congestion, Sneezing, Difficulty Breathing
- Abnormal Menstrual Cycle
- Tissue swelling

While I am not here to diagnose histamine intolerance, as that is something that you would need to confer with your doctor about, I can share with you which foods to eat and which foods to avoid, so that you can do a self-assessment to see if histamine intolerance may be playing a role in any chronic or unresolved health concerns you have.
I am offering this addition to my Gentle Winter Healing Cleanse because I have become passionate about educating about this topic and helping people to come to a level greater level of health and wellness by learning what to eat and what not to eat in order to not suffer from the symptoms of histamine intolerance.
There is no additional charge during the Cleanse for this education I will be offering. I will simply be offering it as an adjunct to the the Cleanse, and will be providing that education through weekly Zoom calls along with a few emails, so that those who wish to combine the low inflammatory diet of the Winter Cleanse with low histamine food options, can choose to do so.
If you suspect you may have histamine intolerance, and would like to be supported in a guided process of removing the higher histamine foods from your diet in order to do an assessment for yourself, please join the Gentle Winter Healing Cleanse HERE, and then email me to let me know that you'd like to be included in the histamine intolerance education portion of this Cleanse.
Not sure if this is something you may have or may be of interest to explore? Please read more about Histamine Intolerance, what it is, and get a general idea of what foods you will be avoiding, at Dr. Jocker's website HERE
After you register for the cleanse and email me, you can expect to receive more information from me about how I will be supporting you and educating you on this topic, in the New Year. I will be providing low histamine recipes, food lists of what to avoid and what to eat, and other education about how to assess root causes and begin to heal.
